My name is David Steier . I was born in Louisville, Kentucky. I attended three colleges. Bellermi...View MoreMy name is David Steier . I was born in Louisville, Kentucky. I attended three colleges. Bellermine, Colorado State University,
and Eastern Kentucky University. I graduated with a BS degree in Wildlife Biology. I was never hired in this field. I was a member
of the Kentucky Air National Guard. In 1978 I entered the Tool and Die apprenticeship at General Electric. In 1982 I earned my
Journeyman card. At GE I worked in tool and die, maintenence, and the Model Shop. In the Model Shop I was able to get to
run such equipment as CNC mill, Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, and 5 axis laser. I retired from GE in 2002 but have worked a few jobs
as machinist since. Since 1978 I have been making knives both full time and part time. At present it is full time.
