Trijicon

Trijicon is an American company founded in 1981 by Glyn Bindon that manufactures and distributes optics for all firearm types. Glyn Bindon immigrated to the United States from South Africa where he worked in the auto industry as well as NASA. Bindon’s first Trijicon sights were made in the basement of his home. The company’s success boomed after the infamous Miami shootout when the FBI first adopted the Trijicon sights. Today Trijicon is a contractor for the United States military and supplies the ACOG or advanced combat optical gunsight. Trijicon was the first company to obtain United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) licensing, which allowed exempt distribution of sights separate from a gun.
