Chris Reeve Knives

  Chris Reeve Knives was founded as a sole proprietorship in January 1984, with Chris Reeve making custom knives in the single garage attached to his house in Durban, South Africa. After immigrating to Boise Idaho in July 1993, Chris Reeve Knives, sole proprietorship, became Reeve Incorporated, doing business as Chris Reeve Knives. In 2003 Chris collaborated with Dick Barber of Crucible Materials Corporation to develop the famous CPM S30V Steel as knifemaking steel. Some other popular Reeve’s inventions include the Ceramic ball integrated into integral lock bar, Integral Lock, Helix Lock, Perforated thrust washers, and Kubuli serrations. Today the Chris Reeves Knife team consists of 40 talented and motivated workers that ensure the Chris Reeve reputation for quality worldwide. "Think Twice, Cut Once."
